My enemy is French fries which give me a wicked headache when I ate them yesterday. I am disappointed that I ended up having a net gain of half a pound on the week, especially after such a quick start. I know that muscle weighs more than fat and I have lost one inch off my waist this week so that I am now within what is considered maximum for males- 40 inches. Surfing the Internet gave me a lot of information about grease headaches, most of it scary. I am happy that I have found stopwatch eating and that I am no longer having food hangovers. Because I am eating more slowly, I am no longer passing out; my body is better able to handle digestion. I am doing bicep curls of thirty pounds per arm, eight reps, one set. And I am only doing it once every two days so that I don't put my back out. I want to give my muscles a chance to recover although the workout is minimal. I will begin to do more challenging weight training as I become accustomed to it. That also could have something to do with the weight gain. But mostly I think it's the fries. I am riding my bike thirty miles a week. I am trying to lose five percent of my body weight or eleven pounds. It would be great if I could get down to the top end of my normal weight for my height, but my legs are like tree trunks and I don't think that's going to happen- ever.
